This tutorial is written as if you have a general knowledge on how to use the program.

***What you'll need***
Program of Choice.
I am using Photoshop CS5

Tube of choice.
I am using the artwork of Joahannah von Frankenstein aka Koffin Kandy
Use must purchase a license to use her gorgeous artwork and can do so HERE

Texture of choice
I'm using Texture7 by Vix
Which you can find HERE

Animation of Choice
I am using ani3 from Chaos Trashed HERE
It's the 5th one down in the post

Filter Needed
MuRa's Meisters – Copies
Venderlee – Unplugged X – Pattern Offset

~*~*~ Let's Get Started~*~*~

Start a new canvas
600px by 250px

Add your tube to your canvas

Filter → MuRa's Meister → Copies → Wallpaper (rotate)
All at default

Filter → Blur → Motion Blur
Angle – 25 degrees
Distance – 450 pixels

Filter → Sharpen → Sharpen Edges

Filter → Sharpen → Sharpen More

Add the texture to your canvas
Change the blend mode to luminosity and lower the opacity to 50%

Add your tube to the left side of your canvas
Resize and reposition to your liking
I flipped mine horizontally as well

Filter → MuRa's Meister → Copies → Line
Lower just the number to 4

Change the blend mode of this layer to luminosity and lower the opacity to 25%

Use your rectangle marquee tool to drag out a square towards the bottom of your canvas
On the original background
Copy and then paste
Move this layer up above the line of the tube we just made

Filer → VanDerLee → Unplugged-X → Pattern Offset
All at default
Change the blend mode to soft light, add a bit of an outer glow to this something that matches the tube

Add your tube to the right of the canvas now
Resize and reposition to your liking
Duplicate this layer
On the bottom one add a drop shaow
On the top one
Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur, 3.0 px
Change the blend mode to Overlay

Add the tube again, flip it horizontally
Have just the little brain cupcake showing in the bottom left of the canvas
Duplicate this once you have it where you like it
Add a drop shadow to the bottom one
On the top one
Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur, 3.0 px
Change the blend mode to Overlay

Now we're going to add your word art
I did make my own for this one, you can use similar if you'd like :)
I just did Brains are Sweet (the name of the tube I'm using)

Add your name

Use your ellipitcal marquee tool to select the entire canvas
Add two new layers on the canvas

On the bottom of the two new layers
Edit → Stroke
I did Width of 8px
Center
Black
Change the blend mode to overlay

On the top one, add the stroke again
This time a width of 5px
Use a green color from the tube.
Filer → Noise → Add Noise
Amount – 12.5%
Gaussian
Monochromatic checked

*****Most Important****
Add your copyright information!

If you don't want to animate you're done!

If you do want to animate then we're going to continue on!

Open up the animation we're using.
Gin is awesome and does them in .pfd form so it's super easy to add them to your tags in photoshop
I deleted the credits layer
Then you're going to select ALL the layers and just drag them over to the canvas we want them on
Now a cool trick for this...hold down the shift key while you do it and the layer you're dragging will be centered!
Now the fun part of animating LOL

We're going to go to our animation window

I have mine set on a .1 sec delay, set to repeat forever

Hide all of the layers of our animation except the very first one
Change the blend mode to luminosity

Now we're going to add a new layer to our animation window
Hide the first layer of the animation and unhide the second layer
Change the blend mode of this one to luminosity as well

Add a new animation layer to the animation window
hide layer two of the animation in our main layers
Unhide layer three
Change the layers blend mode to luminosity

Keep going on with the pattern until you've done all of the frames for the animation
Then when you've done that, press play and you can watch it go!
If you're happy with how it looks save as a .gif and you're done!

Now if you want to make an avi I just hide the credits, border and any words
Merge them all down flat
Start a new canvas 150px by 200px
Flood fill with black
Drag this black layer over to our main canvas we've been dealing with
move it below the merged layer we made
Create a clipping mask here
(hold down alt while your mouse is over your layers pallate and when the mouse changes to two intersecting circles click once)
It'll only show where that black square is now!

Move it around a bit until your happy with what you see in the square
Merge the two layers together and drag back to your smaller canvas we made for it
Center it and all that
Add the borders as we did before on the main canvas
Add your copyright info
Add Either your name or initals

You're done!!
