***What you'll need***
Program of Choice.
I am using Photoshop CS5
But, if you know your tools you can use any program of choice

Tube of choice.
I am using the artwork of Keith Garvey
You must purchase a license to use his tubes and can do so HERE
I purchased this while PTE was still open

Scrapkit of Choice
I am using the scrapkit “Campus Chick” by Candy Cats
You can find this HERE
It's part of a mix and match store collab
You can find the individual kit HERE

Mask of Choice
I am using BigMask001 by Vix
You can find this for download HERE

Additional Filters
Penta – Color Dot

~*~*~ Let's Get Started~*~*~

Start a new canvas
600px by 600px
Flood fill with white.

Open Protractor
Add to your canvas
Resize down by 55%
Add a drop shadow

Open paper6
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add below the protractor
Use your magic wand to select inside of the protractor
Select → Modify → Expand, by 8
Invert the selection, on the paper layer press delete
deselect
Duplicate
Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur, 8.0px
Change the blend mode to color
Duplicate
Filter → Penta → Color Dot, all at default
Change the blend mode to soft light

Open pencils resize down until you're happy with how it looks in the protractor
Erase any that's outside of it
Add a drop shadow

Open your tube and add her to your canvas
Resize and reposition how you'd like to
Move this layer below the protractor
Duplicate once you're happy with this
Move this layer above the protractor
Erase any of her legs that are over the bottom of the protractor
Duplicate this layer
On the top one
Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur, 3.0 px
Change the blend mode to soft light
To the very bottom tube add a drop shadow

Open paper4
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add to your canvas just above the white background layer
Apply the layer mask here

Now add which elements you'd like
I used the following from the bottom layer up with a drop shadow unless stated:

Template of Choice
I am using Perfect Moment by Dees'Sign Depot
Which you can find HERE

Additional Filters
PhotoEffex - Scanlines

~*~*~ Let's Get Started~*~*~

Open your template
Image → Duplicate
Close out the original
Delete the 'info' credits layer
Resize the canvas to 800px by 800px
It gives us a bit of room to work and we'll resize later :)

On the template we're just going to work from the bottom up
Adding papers of choice to each of the various parts of it

Above the background layer add paper09
Apply your mask to this layer

To Light green rectangle
Select the rectangle
Add paper14 above this layer
Invert the selection and on the paper layer press delete
Delete the original layer
Add a drop shadow

White Oval
Add a drop shadow

Pink Oval
Select the oval
Add paper08 above this layer
Invert the selection and on the paper layer press delete
Delete the original layer

Merge Bottom Green Strip & Top green strip together
Select the strips
Add paper10 above this layer
Invert the selection and on the paper layer press delete
Delete the original layer
Add a drop shadow

light green square
Select the square
Add paper07 above this layer
Invert the selection and on the paper layer press delete
Delete the original layer
Add a drop shadow

dotted square
change the blend mode to soft light

Move the bottom green rectangle layer below the top stars layer
Merge the top and bottom green rectangle layers together
Merge the star layers together as well

Select the merged green rectangle layers
Add paper13 above this layer
Invert the selection and on the paper layer press delete
Delete the original layer
Add a drop shadow

Select the merged stars layers
Change the color to something light from your tube
Add a bit of an outer glow that also matches your tube

delete the wordart d/s layer
I just want the drop shadow to match the one I'm using throughout the tag
If you'd like to leave this on yours that's all good!
Raster 8
add your drop shadow to this one :)

wordart black
Change this to match your tube or tag
I used a gradient of the green and pink
Add a bevel and emboss to this as well

plum oval
add a new layer above this
Select this oval
Using the gradient I did for the wordart I added it into this oval as well
delete the original oval
Duplicate our oval that we have now
Filter → FotoEffex → Scanlines
Change the width to 3
Change the blend mode to soft light
To the bottom one add a drop shadow

plum circle
repeat the steps we just did with the oval here
I just did my gradient going the opposite direction

white rings
add a subtle drop shadow here

Now open up your full body tube and add it to your canvas
Near the middle or however you'd like it
Resize and reposition to your liking
Duplicate
Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur, 3.0px
Change the blend mode to soft light, opacity to 50%
To the bottom tube add a drop shadow

Add your tube or closeups in between each of the plum circle and overlay layers
Resize and repositioned as you'd like them
Erase any of the tube that goes outside of them
Change the blend mode of each to luminosity
Lower the opacity to 50%

Now we're going to dig further into the kit and add the elements we'd like to embellish the tag some more!
I used the following from the bottom up with a drop shadow unless otherwise stated:

Swirl01 (no drop shadow)
Swirl04 (no drop shadow)
CurledRibbon03
beads01

I added some sparkles as well that I got elsewhere, this is optional of course :)

~*~*~ Let's Get Started~*~*~

Start a new canvas
600px by 600px
Flood fill with white.

Open frame 2
Add to your canvas
Resize down by 70%
Add a drop shadow

Open pp2
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add to your canvas
Use your magic wand to select inside the frame
Select → Modify → Expand, by 5
Invert the selection
On the paper layer press delete
Duplicate this layer
Filter → VanDerLee → Unplugged-X
Pattern offset
change the blend mode to soft light

Open pp-3
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add to your canvas just above the white background layer
Apply the layer mask here

Open your tube
Add your tube to your canvas, resize and reposition to your liking
Move below the frame
Erase any of the tube that's outside the circle frame at the bottom
Duplicate
Move this layer above the circle frame
Erase any of the tube that's over the frame
Filter → Sharpen → Smart Sharpen
Amount – 500%, Radius - .2px, Remove Gaussian Blur

Filter → Blur → Smart Blur
Radius – 3.7px, Threshold, .2

Duplicate
Filter → Sharpen → Sharpen
Change the blend mode to soft light
lower the opacity to 50%
To the bottom tube add a drop shadow

Add your tube in between the two paper layers a couple of times
Resize and position as you'd like
Erase any that's outside the frame
Change the blend mode to luminosity
Lower the opacity of them to 50%

Now add which elements you'd like
I used the following from the bottom layer up with a drop shadow unless stated:

Now to animate if you'd like to!

Duplicate the camera layer

Filter → Render → Lens Flare
Brightness – 100%
50-300mm zoom

Move the + to where the flash would occur

Now go to your animation window
Have two layers in it
Set to go forever
In the first one have the delay set to 2 seconds
and have the normal camera visible

In the second one have the delay at 0.2 seconds
With the camera with the flash visible

Press play and watch it go!

If you're happy save as a .gif and you're done!

Penta - Jeans

~*~*~ Let's Get Started~*~*~

Start a new canvas
600px by 600px
Flood fill with white.

Open Frame1
Add to your canvas
Resize by 70%
Rotate by 8 degrees
Add a drop shadow

Open paper3
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add to your canvas
Use your magic wand to select inside the frame
Select → Modify → Expand, by 6
Invert the selection
On the paper layer press delete
Duplicate this layer
Filer → Penta → Jeans
All at deafult
Change the blend mode to soft light

Open paper5
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add to your canvas just above the white background layer
Apply the layer mask here

Add your tube to your canvas, resize and reposition to your liking
Duplicate
Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur, 3.0px
Change the blend mode to soft light
To the botttom tube add a drop shadow

Add the close up in between the two paper layers
Erase any that's outside the frame
Change the blend mode to luminosity
Lower the opacity to 50%

Now add which elements you'd like
I used the following from the bottom layer up with a drop shadow unless stated:

Tree
Vines
Scattered (no drop shadow)
FireFlies (no drop shadow, add an outer glow)
Grass
Flowers
Flower
Butterflies (just one)
Butterflies (a different one)

Resize by 90%
Add a drop shadow

Open paper05

just below the frame
Use your magic wand to select inside the frame
Select → Modify → Expand, by 5
Invert the selection
On the paper layer press delete

Open paper07
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add to your canvas just above the white background layer
Apply the layer mask here

Add your full tube to your canvas, resize and reposition to your liking
Duplicate this layer
Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur, 3.0px
Change the blend mode to soft light
To the bottom tube add a drop shadow

Add your tube a couple more times in between the frame and paper frame background layer
Merge them together
Change the blend modes to luminosity and lower the opacity to 60%

Duplicate the Paper frame background
Filter → ColorDot → Jeans
All at default
Bring this layer above the merge tubes layer
Change the blend mode to soft light

Now add which elements you'd like

Start a new canvas
650px by 650px
Flood fill with white.


Open e_39
Add to your canvas
Resize down by 85%
Add a drop shadow


Open p4
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add to your tag below the frame
Use your magic wand to select inside the frame
Select → Modify → Expand, by 5
Invert the selection, press delete
Duplicate this layer
Filter → PhotoEffex → Scanlines
With the following settings:


Change the blend mode to soft light


Open p5
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add to your canvas just above the white background layer
Apply the mask here


Add your tube to your canvas, resize and reposition to your liking
Erase any of the legs that are over the frame
Duplicate this layer
Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur, 3.0px
Change the blend mode to soft light
To the bottom tube add a drop shadow


Add your tube to the canvas a couple more times
I flipped one horizontally
Have them in between the two paper background layers
Merge them together
Erase any of the tubes that are outside the frame
Change the blend mode to Luminosity, lower the opacity to 50%


Now add which elements you'd like
I used the following from the bottom layer up with a drop shadow unless stated:


*These Go below the frame, just above the mask layer*
-Work only on the right side-

Duplicate these, Flip horizontally and move to the left side of your tag


*These all go above the top tube layer*
-again, only work on the right side for now-

Use your magic wand to select inside the frames
Select → Modify → Expand, by 5px
Invert the selection
On the paper layer press delete
Deselect
Duplicate this layer

Filter → VanDerLee → Unplugged-X → Pattern Offset
All settings at default
Change the blend mode to soft light

Open pp2
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add to your canvas just above the white background layer
Apply the layer mask here

Add the tube to the canvas
Resize and reposition to your liking
Duplicate this layer
Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur, 3.0px
Change the blend mode to soft light
On the bottom tube
Add a drop shadow

Add your tube to the canvas in between the two papers layers
I flipped mine horizontally
Erase any of that's outside the frame
Change the blend mode to luminosity
Lower the opacity to 50%

Rotate -12 degrees
Add a drop shadow

Open pp2
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add to your canvas just below the frame
Use your magic wand to select inside the frame>
Select → Modify → Expand, by 5px
Invert the selection
On the paper layer press delete
Deselect

Open pp1
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add to your canvas just above the white background layer
Apply the layer mask here

Add the tube to the canvas
Resize and reposition to your liking
Filter → Xero → Porcelain
All at default, except blue channel at 0
Filter → Xero → Radiance
Something subtle that just brightens the tube back up a bit
Add a drop shadow

Add your tube again under the frame
Resize and reposition to your liking
I flipped mine horizontally
Erase any of the tube that's outside the frame
Change the blend mode to luminosity
Lower the Opacity to 50%

Now add which elements you'd like

Duplicate this layer
Filter → VanDerLee → Unplugged-X → Pattern Offset
Change the blend mode to soft light

Open pp3
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add to your canvas just above the white background layer
Apply the layer mask here

Add the tube to the canvas
Resize and reposition to your liking
Duplicate this layer
On the top one
Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur, 3.0px
Change the blend mode to soft light
On the bottom tube
Add a drop shadow

Add your tube again under the frame
Resize and reposition to your liking
I flipped mine horizontally
Erase any of the tube that's outside the frame
Change the blend mode to luminosity
Lower the Opacity to 50%
Duplicate
On the duplicate layer
Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur, 3.0px
Move the paper layer with the Pattern Offset done on it above these two layers, still under the frame

Now add which elements you'd like
I used the following from the bottom layer up with a drop shadow unless stated:

dots (no drop shadow)
dots (no drop shadow)
ribbon 1
snowflake 2
snowflake 2
lights 1
snow globe
candy
candy
shoe
present 1
flower 1
tag 1
candy
snowflake 3
flower 1
bow 3
ornament 2
hat
bow 1
Add the sparkles of choice here (no drop shadow)

Add your name

Image → Trim
Top left pixel color all boxes checked

Resize if you'd like to

****Most Important****
Add your copy right information

If you're happy with your result save to your liking and you're done!

This Tutorial was written on November 24th 2012 by Ashly

This tutorial is written as if you have a general knowledge on how to use the program.

***What you'll need***
Program of Choice.
I am using Photoshop CS5
But, if you know your tools you can use any program of choice

Tube of choice.
I am using the artwork of Keith Garvey
You must purchase a license to use his tubes and can do so HERE

 Scrapkit of Choice
I am using “Sexy Xmas” by Designs by Sarah
You can find this for purchase HERE

Mask of Choice
Mask84 by Weescotslass
You can find this for download HERE

Additional Filters Needed
Xero – Porcelain
Xero – Radiance

~*~*~ Let's Get Started~*~*~

Start a new canvas
600px by 600px
Flood fill with white.

Open frame 2
Add to your canvas
Resize to 80%
Add a drop shadow

Open pp1
Resize to 600px by 600px
Add to your canvas just below the frame
Select inside the frame
Select → Modify → Exand, by 10
Invert the selection
On the paper layer press delete

Open pp2
Reszie to 600px by 600px
Add to your canvas just above the white background layer
Apply the layer mask here

Add the tube to the canvas
Resize and reposition to your liking
Duplicate this layer
On the top one
Move it above the frame
Erase any of the tube over the frame at the bottom of the tag
Filer → Xero → Porcelain
All at default except the blue channel, change to 0
Filer → Xero → Radiance
Do something subtle that just brightens the tube back up a bit
Filer → Sharpen → Unsharp Mask
All at default


On the bottom tube
Add a drop shadow

Now add which elements you'd like
I used the following from the bottom layer up with a drop shadow unless stated:

Snowflake
Tree
Snowflake
Zipper flower 1
hat
Zipper flower 2
Bells
Bow 1
Bow 2

Add some wordart if you’d like to

Add your name

Image → Trim
Top left pixel color all boxes checked

Resize if you'd like to

****Most Important****
Add your copy right information

If you're happy with your result save to your liking and you're done!
