This Tutorial was written on October 25th, 2011 by Ashly
It is of my own creation and any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.

Please do not copy and do not post elsewhere.
This tutorial is written as if you have a general knowledge on how to use the program.

***What you'll need***
Program of Choice.
I am using Photoshop CS5

Tube of choice.
I am using the artwork of Elias Chatzoudis
This tutorial will work best if you have one that has a close up as well as a half body
You must purchase a license to use his work and you can do so HERE

Kit of choice.
I am using a scrapkit called “Halloween Town” by Designs by Sarah
You can find this kit for purchase HERE
This is part of a mix and match collab so if you want more to work with be sure to check out TammyKat's Potion but, I am just using Sarah's part :)

Mask of Choice
I am using Exclusive#2 by WitchysHeart it's an exclusive for Creative Misfits
Which you can get on their blog.
You can Download that HERE

Filters Needed
Xero – Porcelain
Xero – Radiance

~*~*~ Let's Get Started~*~*~

Open up a new canvas
600px x 600px.
Flood fill with white

Open Frame2
Copy and paste onto your canvas
Scale down to 80% and rotate -15 degrees

Open Frame1
Copy and paste onto your canvas
Scale down to 65%

Arrange the frames similar to mine on your canvas.

Open pp6
Resize to 600px by 600px
Copy and paste onto your canvas and move this layer below your frames
Take your magic wand tool and select inside of each of your frames
Select ---> Modify ---> Expand, by 5
Invert the selection and on the paper layer press delete

Go to your tube and copy and paste the close up onto your canvas.
This is going to go between your frames and your frame paper background.
I flipped mine horizontally as well.
Resize and reposition to your liking
Once you're happy with all of that, Ctrl + Click on the thumbnail for you frame paper background
Invert the selection and on the tube layer press delete.
Deselect and then erase any parts that are extending into the circle frame.

Filer ---> Xero ---> Porcelain
all at default except the blue channel, slide that all the way to the left to 0.
Change the blend mode of this layer to Luminosity and the opacity to 80%
Duplicate this layer.
On the new tube layer
Filter ---> Blur ---> Gaussian Blue, radius of 5
Change the blend mode to Hard Light and the Opacity to 50%

Go to your tube again and copy and paste the half body onto your canvas.
Resize and reposition so that it looks like she's coming out of the circle frame.
Once that's where you'd like it duplicate this layer.
Hide the top one and drag the layer below your circle frame only.
Erase any parts that may be sticking outside of the circle
Add a drop shadow to this layer.

Now go back up to your top tube of this layer and unhide it.
It should be your top layer at this point.
Erase any parts that are hanging over the frame.

Filter ---> Xero ---> Porcelain
Click okay since it's the same settings as we used before.

Filter ---> Xero ---> Radiance
Something that is subtle but that will brighten the tube back up a bit
I used the following: 33, 36, 115, 46

Filter ---> Sharpen ---> Unsharp Mask
All at default settings.

Add a drop shadow to each of your tube layers.

Open pp1
Resize to 600px by 600px
Copy and paste into your canvas
Add your mask here.

Now we're going to embellish the tag.
Do this to your liking.
Resized and Drop Shadow of choice as well.

I used the following in this order:
~Between the Mask Layer and Frame paper background layer~
beads spills1 (no drop shadow)
Beads spills1 (I erased the leaves of this one, no drop shadow)
Duplicated the last Beads spills1 and repositioned
Spooky Tree 2 (I flipped this horizontally)
crecent moon

~Above the circle frame layer but below the top tube layer~
button
Hanger 1 (I erased a bit of the top and the metal clasp)
crossbones
bat
tag 2 ( I erased the 'tag' part so that I just had a bit of the string and then what didn't look right on there on the tag)

~Above the top tube layer~
cauldron
jack o lantern
crossbones
WA 2 (I also added an outer glow here)
ghost 2

Add your name to your tag

Image ---> Trim
Top left pixel color, all boxes checked

Resize if you'd like to

*****Most Important*****
Add your copyright info to the tag.

If you're happy with what you've done hide the bottom white layer and then save as a .png
and You're done!

Now if you want to animate....you're not quite done yet :)
Onto the animation!

Use your rectangle marquee to select an area around the bubbles of the cauldron (make sure you're working on this layer)

Copy and paste, deselect.

Zoom in and take your eraser tool to erase the extra cauldron bits around the bubbles. (I hid my original cauldron layer so I could see what I was doing more)
Once you have the bubbles free standing nudge them back into black and then select them and on your original cauldron layer press delete.

Add an outer glow to your bubbles.
Duplicate this layer.

Move the Duplicated layer to the left just a bit.
Duplicate this layer

Move this new layer to the right and up a bit.
Duplicate this layer

Move this new layer up and to the left
Duplicate this layer

Move this new layer up and to the right
Duplicate this layer

Move this new layer to the left and down just a bit.

Now we're going to go to our animation window (Window ---> Animation)
Make sure it's set to repeat forever and with a delay of .15 seconds

Now hide all but the first layer.
Add a new animation layer, unhide the second layer
Add a new animation layer, unhide the third layer here
Add a new animation layer, unhide the fourth layer here
Add a new animation layer, unhide the fifth layer here
Add a new animation layer, unhide the sixth layer here
Add a new animation layer, hide the sixth layer again
Add a new animation layer, hide the fifth layer again
Add a new animation layer, hide the fourth layer again
Add a new animation layer, hide the third layer again

Press play to see your animation go.
If you're happy with it then save as a .gif and you're done!

Thank you for trying my tut!
I'd love to see any tags made from it!

If you have any questions feel free to email me!

Ashly
