This Tutorial was written on October 15th, 2011 by Ashly
It is of my own creation and any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.
Please do not copy and do not post elsewhere.
This tutorial is written as if you have a general knowledge on how to use the program.
***What you'll need***
Program of Choice.
I am using Photoshop CS5
Tube of choice.
I am using the awesome work of Keith Garvey
You must purchase a license to use his work and you can do so HERE
Kit of choice.
I am using Sweetest Halloween by Designs by Sarah @ PMTW/S
You can purchase this kit for use HERE

Mask of Choice
I am using BigMask008 by Vix
You can Download that HERE
Filters Needed
Xero – Porcelain
Xero - Radiance
~*~*~Let's Get Started*~*~*
Open a new canvas 800px by 800px
Flood Fill with white
Open Frame10
Copy and paste onto your canvas and scale down by 62%
Open pp4
Copy and paste into your canvas
Select the inside of your frame with the magic wand.
Invert selection and on the paper layer press delete.
Deselect
Add drop shadow of choice to your frame.
Open up the close up of your tube
copy and paste into your canvas
flip it horizontally and position to your liking.
This layer is going to be in between your frame and paper layers.
Once you're happy with where it's at.
Ctrl + Click on the paper layer, invert selection and on the closeup tube layer press delete.
Deselect
Change the tube blend mode to luminosity and the opacity lower to 50%
Go back to your original tube and get the full tube layer and copy and paste it onto your canvas.
Resize and position to your liking.
Duplicate this layer and drag one just below your frame and the other just above.
Erase any parts that are sticking out below the frame.
Add a drop shadow to the bottom tube layer.
To the top tube add the following Filters.
Filter ---> Xero ---> Porcelain
All at default except the blue channel set to 0.
Filter ---> Xero ---> Radiance
Just something subtle that brightens the image back up.
Filter ---> Sharpen ---> Unsharp Mask
All at default.
Open pp8 and drag to just about the white background layer.
Apply your mask to this layer.

Now we're just going to embellish the tag with elements from the kit.
Do so to your liking, position and resize as needed with drop shadow of choice to all elements.
I used the following, in this order:
web (this layer is behind the frame paper background)
Spider2 (this is just above the web)
Now we move up above the top tube layer and use the following:
ribbon5
ribbon4
tag
lollipop3
cupcake2
candies5
bow1
Add you name to the tag.
Image ---> Trim
Top left pixel color
All boxes checked.
Resize to your liking.

*Most Important!!*
Add your copyright info for the tube(s) you used!
Now, we're going to move onto the animation.
Zoom in on the pumpkin in her hand
Take your magic wand tool and select the yellow portions of the pumpkin where it's 'lit up'.
Copy and paste (Ctrl + V, Ctrl +C)
Duplicate this layer 8 times, so that there is a total of 9 layers.
Leave the first layer alone.
On the second layer go to
Image ---> Adjustments ---> Brightness/Contrast
Make sure use legacy is checked
and increase the brightness scale to 25, leave the contrast alone.
On the third layer
Image ---> Adjustments ---> Brightness/Contrast
Make sure use legacy is checked
and increase the brightness scale to 50, leave the contrast alone.
On the fourth layer
Image ---> Adjustments ---> Brightness/Contrast
Make sure use legacy is checked
and increase the brightness scale to 75, leave the contrast alone.
On the fifth layer
Image ---> Adjustments ---> Brightness/Contrast
Make sure use legacy is checked
and increase the brightness scale to 100, leave the contrast alone.
On the sixth layer
Image ---> Adjustments ---> Brightness/Contrast
Make sure use legacy is checked
and increase the brightness scale to -25, leave the contrast alone.
On the seventh layer
Image ---> Adjustments ---> Brightness/Contrast
Make sure use legacy is checked
and increase the brightness scale to -50, leave the contrast alone.
On the eight layer
Image ---> Adjustments ---> Brightness/Contrast
Make sure use legacy is checked
and increase the brightness scale to -75, leave the contrast alone.
On the ninth layer
Image ---> Adjustments ---> Brightness/Contrast
Make sure use legacy is checked
and increase the brightness scale to -100, leave the contrast alone.
Now we're going to go to our animation window
If it's not open go to Windows ---> Animation
the box should pop up.
Now we're going to have the delay set to .15secs with it set to repeat forever.
Add 16 animation layers.
On the first layer only have open the layer with the -100 Brightness
On the second -75
On the third -50
on the fourth -25
On the fifth – The normal layer
On the sixth 25
On the seventh 50
on the eight 75
on the ninth 100
on the tenth 75
on the eleventh 50
on the twelfth 25
on the thirteenth the normal layer
on the fourteenth -25
on the fifteenth -50
on the sixteenth -75
Then it should just loop around bright to dark continually. Press play to see how you like your animation.
If you're happy with it save for web & devices
and You're done!!!
Thank you for trying my tutorial!!
Let me know if you have any questions
I'd love to see any results as well!!
