This tutorial is written as if you have a general knowledge on how to use the program.
***What you'll need***
Program of Choice.
I am using Photoshop CS5
Tube of choice.
I am using the gorgeous work of Zlata_M
You must purchase a license to use her work and you can do so HERE.
Kit of choice.
I am using Witches Brew by Designs by Sarah @ PMTW/S

Filters
Xero – Porcelain
Xero – Radiance
~~~Let's get Started~~~
Open a new canvas 600px by 600 px.
Flood fill with white.
Open frame3
Copy and paste into your canvas.
Scale down by 50% and rotate -10 degrees.
Reposition to the upper left of your canvas.
Duplicate this layer.
Rotate by 25 degrees and position in the lower left of your canvas just slightly over lapping the first frame.
Open pp2.
Resize to 600px by 600px
Copy and paste into your canvas
Drag this layer below your frames.
Using your magic wand selecting inside each of your frames
Select inverse and press delete on your paper layer.
Add a Drop Shadow to your two frames.
Open your tube.
Copy and paste into your canvas.
Resize and position it behind the first frame we put up until it's to your liking
Duplicate this layer and flip horizontal.
Resize and position behind the second frame
Once you're happy with their position
Ctrl + Click the tumbnail of the frame background to select it
Select inverse and on each of your tube layers click delete.
Erase any parts that may have overlapped both frames.
Change the blend mode to luminostiy and the opacity to 50% on each of them.
Copy and paste your tube into your canvas again.
This time it's going to go above your frames.
Resize and position as desired.
Filter ---> Xero ---> Porcelain
All at default except the blue channel, set at 0.
Filter ---> Xero ---> Radiance
Use your own settings here.
Something subtle that just brights up the tube a bit.
Fitler ---> Sharpen ---> Unsharp Mask
At default settings.
Add a drop shadow.
Open pp1.
Resize to 600px by 600px.
Copy and paste into your canvas.
Drag this layer to just above the white background
Apply your mask.
Now we're going to add the elements with a Drop shadow.
Do so to your liking but, to do the animation make sure you add couldron to your tag.
Also resize and position to your liking as well
I used the following with a drop shadow:
In between my mask and frame back layers:
smoke1 (I added a bit of a white outer glow to this one as well to help it pop a bit)
branch3
swirl1
moon.
Now above the frame and tube layers I added the following with a drop shadow:
Key
cauldron
broom
bow2
Flower 1 (duplicate)
Branch2 (on this one position so it looks like rose leaves and then erase the parts that are extra, duplicate and rotate around and place this behind the duplicated flower1)
spell books
branch4
potion2
potion8
potion7
Add your name to your tag.
Image ---> Trim
Top left Pixel color, all boxes checked.
Reisize if you'd like to.
*****Most Important****
Add your copyright info!!!
Now We're going to focus on the animation!
Go to your cauldron layer.
Duplicate it 2 times so you have 3 cauldrons.
Hide the top two layers.
Take your smudge tool.
Get a soft round brush.
I did a size of 13px with the mode at normal and the strength at 50%
go to the 'smoke' in the cauldron and swirl it around, drawing various little swoops outside of it.
Make sure you don't go into the black of the cauldron though since we want that remaining the same!
Do that with each of your layers.
Go to your animation window and make a 3 layer animation with each of the different cauldrons on the three animation layers.
I did mine to loop forever with the delay at .30 secs.
Press play and when you're happy with your smoke animation
Save it and Wah-lah!
You're done!!

Alright, I had a LOT of requests to tut this one up so, I thought I'd give it a shot :D
I made this tag for a contest that was being held by CDO call The Next Tagging Star.
I made it back in July 2011 but, I'm writing the tut up today October 3rd, 2011.
It is of my own creation and any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.

I am using the art work of Rion, Pinups Toons.
You must purchase a license to use his work and you can do so HERE at CDO
I am using 6 different tubes of his work.
You'll also need brushes of choice, I have had all of these for a really long time so, I’m not completely sure where I got them. I'll see if I can't find them anywhere but, I know I've used deviantart a lot for brushes as well as just googling for them.
I used some Bokeh Brushes
Some swirl/sparkle brushes
Along with a heart brush.
Fonts of choice:
I used Milton Burlesque
handy00
I'm bored
Mrs. Blackfort
Filters needed:
Eye Candy 4000 – HSB Noise
Juex de lignes - entralacement
*~*~*Let's get Started*~*~*
This tag isn't all that 'hard' to make just VERY time consuming and as we all know with animation can be very frustrating. So, if that happens don't give up and stick with it!! You CAN do it!
Open up a new canvas 600px x 600px
Flood fill with white.
Type out your main words.
I did Pinup @ size 200px
The alias set to smooth.
Now I'm going to add a bit of a texture to the lettering.
Filter ---> Texture ---> Texturizer
With the following Settings:
Filter ---> Jeux de lignes ---> Entralacement
With the following settings:
Create a new layer
Ctrl + click on the text layer thumbnail of the text layer so it selects the letters
Edit ---> Stroke
Use the following settings:
Deselect
Filter ---> Noise ---> Add Noise
Amount 25%
Gaussian and Monochromatic checked.
Add a drop shadow to both of the layers.
Add your main tube and have it behind the lettering.
Resize and postion to your liking.
Add a drop shadow.
I flipped my horizontally as well.
Add the brushes you'd like to in the background.
Type out addicted to using your pixel font.
Color it white and add a stroke of 2 in a dark color
add a drop shadow and position over the 'P'.
Add your name.
I again did it in white with a stroke of 2 but, added a bevel
as well as the drop shadow.
Now above the pinup layers add the word “Toons”
With the following settings:
Change the blend mode of this layer to lighten.
Now you're going to add a tube to each of the letters.
Resize and erase any parts that are outside of it.
They're going to be between the original 'Pinup' lettering
and the 'frame' we made for them.
All blend modes changed to luminosity.
Once you have that and you're happy with the positioning and the way they look.
Go to Image ---> Trim
Top left pixel color and all boxes checked
Resize if you'd like to
************Most Important***************
Add all of your copyright credits for the images you're using.
Now, We're going to work on the animating.
Select a piece of your background brush and duplicate it 4 times so you have 5 of the same image.
On each of them apply the Filter Eye Candy 4000 ---> HSB Noise
Change the Pattern to Smooth Fractal and just mess around with the settings until you get something you like.
Add this filter to each of your 5 layers hitting random seed each time.
Hide all of them but the very first one.
Now we're going to focus on the tubes.
Hide all of your layers except the very first one.
Go to your animation window.
(If you need to get this one up it's window ---> animation)
Change the opacity of this first one to 50%
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 60% and change your brush background from the first one to the second one.
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 70% and change your brush background from the second one to the third.
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 80% and change your brush background from the third one to the fourth.
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 90% and change your brush background from the fourth one to the fifth.
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 100% and change your brush background from the fifth one to the first.
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 90% and change your brush background from the first one to the second one.
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 80% and change your brush background from the second one to the third.
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 70% and change your brush background from the third one to the fourth.
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 60% and change your brush background from the fourth one to the fifth.
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 50% and change your brush background from the fifth one to the first. NOW You're going to also open up your second letter tube layer and change the opacity to 10%
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 40% on the first one and 20% on the second one and change your brush background from the first one to the second.
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 30% on the first one and 30% on the second one and change your brush background from the second one to the third.
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 20% on the first one and 40% on the second one and change your brush background from the third one to the fourth.
Add a new animation frame and change the opacity to 10% on the first one and 50% on the second one and change your brush background from the fourth one to the fifth.
Add a new animation frame and hide the first tube frame and continue on with the second frame until you're back down to 50% and then add in the third, going all the way through all your letters until you reach the last letter and when you hit the 50% there you're going to start the 10% of your very first frame.
Once that's all done you may need to adjust your settings for the animation.
I have my delay set at 0.13 seconds and it set to loop forever.
Once you're happy with it you're going to save it.
To do so with a .gif in photoshop
Go to File ---> Save for Web & Devices
Click okay and then save it where you'd like to.
That's it!! You're done!!
I know this one takes a LONG time to complete but, I hope you had fun with it and I'd LOVE to see your results so Please send them in to me!!!

~Let's Get Started~
Before we open our program open up the Folder that's is containing the photoshop styles.
Find the .asl file.
Right click on it and copy and then paste it into your adobe photoshop styles folder.
I am using Win7 and mine is located:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Presets\Styles
Now open your program and it should load them automatically for us now that we've added them
Open a new Canvas 600px x 600px, transparent background.
Flood fill with white.
Open frame_2, copy and paste into your canvas.
Scale down to 80% and rotate 25 Degrees.
Center on your canvas.
Add a drop shadow.
Open Paper of your choice.
I used pp3.
Resize to 600px x 600px
Copy and paste onto your canvas and move below your frame.
Select inside your three frame windows.
Select ---> Modify ---> Expand.
Expand by 3 pixels.
Select Inverse and with your paper layer selected, press delete and then deselect.
Copy and Paste the closeup or your tube and resize and position in one of the two end frame areas.
Once you're happy with where it's at, duplicate, Edit ---> Tranform ---> Flip Horizontal.
Move this new layer to the other end frame.
Ctrl + Click on the frame paper background invert your selection and then click on each of your tube layers and press delete.
Change the blend mode of each to Luminosity.
Copy and paste your full tube to your canvas.
Resize and Position to your liking.
Filter ---> Xero ---> Porcelain
All settings at default except the blue channel, slide all the way to the left to 0.
Filter ---> Xero ---> Radiance
Use something subtle here that just brightens up your tube a bit.
Filter ---> Sharpen ---> Unsharp mask.
All Default settings here.
Open pp5.
Resize to 600px x 600px.
Copy and Paste onto your canvas and move to just above your white background layer.
Apply the Triangles 1 mask to this layer.
Open pp6
Resize to 600px x 600px
Copy and Paste into your canvas and move to just above your white background layer
Apply the Sparkle 2 mask to this layer.
Open beads.
Copy and paste into your canvas.
Move to just above both of your masked paper layers.
Scale down by 50%
Position at the upper left corner of your frame
Duplicate.
Edit ---> Transform ---> Flip Horizontal
Edit ---> Transform ---> Flip Vertical
Position at the bottom right of the frame.
Open Sun.
Copy and Paste into your canvas.
Leave as is but, change the opacity to 70%
Open Stars 1
Copy and Paste into your canvas
Scale down to your liking, I did about 55%
Open Planet 2
Copy and paste into your canvas
Scale down to 40%
Add a drop shadow
And a bevel & emboss and contour with the following settings:
Open Star
Copy and paste into your canvas
Resize down to 29% and rotate 52 Degrees
Add Drop Shadow
Reposition on Canvas
Open Space Ship 3
Copy and paste into your canvas
Resize down to 25% and rotate -18 Degrees
Add Drop Shadow
Repostion on Canvas
Open Alien 2
Copy and paste into your canvas
Edit ---> Transform ---> Flip Horizontal
Resize down to 32%
Add Drop Shadow
Repostion on Canvas
Open Star
Copy and paste into canvas
Resize down to 16% and rotate 52 Degrees
Add Drop Shadow
Reposition on canvas
Open Planet 3
Copy and paste into canvas
Resize down to 30% and rotate -13 degrees
Add Drop shadow
Reposition on Canvas.
Click on your frame layer in your layers pallate.
Open Sparkles 2
Copy and Paste into your canvas
Open knot 1
Copy and Paste into your canvas
Resize down to 28% and rotate 75 degrees
Add a drop shadow.
Open up Word Art 6
Copy and paste onto your canvas and move just about your main tube layer.
Resize down to 68%
Add a Drop Shadow.
I also added a bevel and emboss at default settings but the soften to 3px
I added an outer glow as well.
Light blue, the blend mode on the glow set to normal, opacity 100%, Range 25% with everything else at default.
Type out your name and position in the upper left corner of the frame.
Click on your Styles tab
(if you can't see this go to Windows ---> Styles)
Find our newly added styles at the bottom.
I clicked on the pink dotted one.
Now open up the effect box (double click of effects that is now under your text in the layers)
Add a Drop shadow to what's already there.
Click on the inner shadow and change the opacity to 15% but, nothing else
Click on Bevel and Emboss and slide the soften all the way to the right to 16px
Add a stroke. I did a black one at 4px.
Leave the Pattern overly as is :)
Go up to Image ---> Trim
Top Left Pixel Color and all boxes checked, click okay
Resize if you'd like to.
*****Most Important*****
Add your copyright info
And your tagged by info if you'd like to.
Hide your white background layer and save your image.
You're Done!
